TE Connectivity UPW Series of Ultra Precision Wire-Wound ResistorsThe UPW series from TE Connectivity offers a highly reliable range of ultra-precision wire-wound resistors. These Neohm resistors feature custom welded tabs and copper welded leads to ensure a great connection between the element and the lead wires. The range can be used in a wide -55°C to +145°C operating temperature and is available in 3 different case sizes.The resistive element comprises a thin film of carbon, deposited onto a high thermal conductivity ceramic core. Metal end caps are force fitted to the element prior to spiralling to value. Tinned copper lead wires are welded to the end caps and the components are then coated. One coat of phenolic resin is followed by three coats of epoxy resin. All resistors are tested for value and tolerance.TE Connectivity Thick Film Resistors
