The MAX806TCSA+ from Maxim Integrated Products is a microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit in 8 pin NSOIC package. This supervisory circuit reduces the complexity and number of components required for power supply monitoring and battery control functions in µP systems. It significantly improves system reliability and accuracy compared to separate IC's or discrete components. This device is designed for use in systems powered by 3V or 3.3V supplies. Typical applications include battery powered computers and controllers, embedded controllers, intelligent instruments, portable equipment and critical µP power monitoring.

• Manual reset input, backup-battery switch functions, precision supply voltage monitor
• Power fail threshold accuracy is ±2%, power-fail comparator

• VCC supply current is 50µA at VCC < 5.5V and 40µA at VCC < 3.6V
• Battery supply current is 1µA
• Active-low RESET output, active-low RESET assertion to VCC = 1V
